How to cancel Adobe Creative Cloud without a surprise fee

Adobe plans are the one subscription where cancelling at the wrong time costs money. Check which plan you have before you click cancel. Steps are as of October 2026. Menus move, so if one has, search the service’s help center for “cancel”; the current steps are usually near the top.

First, check who bills you

Look at the charge on your statement. If it says Apple, Google Play, Amazon or PayPal, the subscription is managed there, not on the service’s own site, and the cancel button on the service’s site will not be there. See cancelling Apple subscriptions or cancelling Google Play subscriptions for those. Can’t tell? Search your email for the company name plus “receipt”. The receipt names the biller.

Steps to cancel Adobe

  1. Sign in at account.adobe.com, open Plans, then “Manage plan”, then “Cancel plan”, and follow the screens.
  2. Check which plan you have first. Annual plans billed monthly charge an early-termination fee (half of the remaining months) if you cancel after the first 14 days.

What happens after you cancel

If the fee applies, it is often cheaper to switch to the cheaper annual plan or wait for the renewal date, which the Plans page shows. The 14-day window after a purchase or renewal is fee-free.

If the charge shows up again

Screenshot the confirmation page or keep the confirmation email. That is your proof. Check your next statement, and if the charge is still there, reply to the confirmation email first. If that goes nowhere, dispute the charge with your card issuer and attach the screenshot.

Not sure what else you are paying for?
