YouTube Premium and YouTube TV are cancelled from your membership page on a web browser. Both offer a pause if you only want a break. Steps are as of October 2026. Menus move, so if one has, search the service’s help center for “cancel”; the current steps are usually near the top.
First, check who bills you
Look at the charge on your statement. If it says Apple, Google Play, Amazon or PayPal, the subscription is managed there, not on the service’s own site, and the cancel button on the service’s site will not be there. See cancelling Apple subscriptions or cancelling Google Play subscriptions for those. Can’t tell? Search your email for the company name plus “receipt”. The receipt names the biller.
Steps to cancel YouTube Premium and YouTube TV
- On a web browser, open youtube.com/paid_memberships (Premium) or tv.youtube.com/settings/membership (YouTube TV).
- Choose “Deactivate” or “Cancel membership”, pick a reason, and confirm. Both offer a pause instead.
- Subscribed through Apple? Cancel in iPhone Settings instead.
What happens after you cancel
Access runs until the end of the period. YouTube TV lets you pause for up to 6 months.
If the charge shows up again
Screenshot the confirmation page or keep the confirmation email. That is your proof. Check your next statement, and if the charge is still there, reply to the confirmation email first. If that goes nowhere, dispute the charge with your card issuer and attach the screenshot.
Not sure what else you are paying for?
